2008 Junior Showcase at Veterans Field

The 2008 Minnesota Baseball Coaches Association Junior Showcase, held at Minnetonka's Veterans Field on July 10, saw over 100 of the top junior baseball players in the state participating in a showcase in front of about 70 college coaches and several professional baseball scouts.  Players displayed their running, hitting, fielding and throwing abilities in hopes of catching the eye of a college coach or pro scout. Despite a severe storm that delayed the event for an hour and a half, the event went very well. No field without a turf surface like the one at Veterans Field would be able to take the amount of rain that fell and still be able to play on it so soon after the rain stopped. Please feel free to look at the pictures found here that were taken during the day's activities.
